Recently I had the privilege of photographing Julia Vidisdottir in several beautiful parts of Iceland for a breath taking fashion photoshoot. Keep your eye out for Julia as she is not only an up and coming model, but at just 14 years old Julia had decided that she wanted to truly make a difference in the world. Julia wanted to set an example for young ladies everywhere that you can have your place in science and engineering as well as be a model. She wants to show young women that they can overcome any obstacles in life, be full of self-esteem and be strong future female leaders and innovators.
She is currently in a team with 8 teenagers of the same age from different schools competing against other Nordic countries for the championship title in robotics and engineering. Julia currently lives in Keflavik which is a small town in Iceland. There she spends her days dreaming of being a world wide model and focusing lots of time on her school work which she is very passionate about.
She definitely gets her strong will, sense of adventure and zest for life from her mother Elin Einarsdottir. Elin accompanied us during our travels and photoshoot, she encouraged her daughter to brave waters, climb mountains and take risks. At one point our car got stuck on the side road in a very isolated area but Elin remained calm and showed her daughter how to take control of the situation and care for herself. It was definitely an adventure for me as well.
When I am not traveling the world for commercial and fashion shoots, I am either at my studio in Clearwater or doing on location photoshoots all around the Tampa Bay area.
